Baseball Prospectus reviews our minor leaguers:

Righty Scott Mathieson had a 4.14 ERA in Clearwater last year, but was outstanding in the Arizona Fall League and scouts have always loved his big frame and power repertoire. The numbers are catching up to the reviews, as the 22-year-old Canadian has a 37/7 K/BB ratio in 32.1 innings. That's three big time starting prospects in the upper levels for the Phillies, a situation most teams can only dream about.

i saw mathieson pitch in bowie the first week of the season. he throws hard, but wasn't changing speeds at all. if he can do that, he'll make the jump.
